Cheap Fuel - Asda slash the cost of petrol to new 5 year low

From today (Friday 27th November) Asda are knocking 4p per litre off fuel – meaning motorists won’t pay more than 99.7p per litre on unleaded and 103.7ppl on diesel at any of their 273 filling stations.

Their latest fuel price drop puts the price of petrol at a new five-year low – meaning unleaded prices have dropped below the £1 mark for the first time since summer 2009. And, according to the latest data from the AA, Asda has been the cheapest place to fill up throughout 2015.

Everyone hoped that the Chancellor would continue the freeze on fuel duty in his Autumn statement, or the resulting increase would put pressure on household finances. So the confirmation this week that a freeze would remain in place was welcome news to Britains motorists

Andy Clarke, Asda’s President & CEO said: “The Chancellor’s freeze on fuel duty is what our customers were hoping for. We’re adding a further boost by investing in a three-day fuel price drop meaning drivers can now benefit from fuel as low as 99.7ppl in the crucial run-up to the festive period. We’d urge the Chancellor to continue with a freeze on fuel duty in the March Budget to help maintain discretionary income levels for families.”

Happy

"To enable us to take advantage of the free boiler. We had a to supply answers to quite a few questions. The company was efficient and processed our request and kept us very well informed all the time and today the new boiler was fitted . So we are delighted. As pensioners we might have had a problem with heating our home this winter as the previous boiler was pretty old and inefficient causing quite a few problems over the last twelve months. Job well done. Very pleased."
